The Friends of SMCC is a registered charity made up of parents, staff and members of the wider community who focus on fundraising to enhance the work of the school. In previous years, The Friends have raised money to purchase a new school minibus. 

We are currently  involved in overseeing the development of a new sensory garden for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, after a very generous legacy left to us by Ian Warden, an ex-teacher at SMCC.  The trustees and committee are dedicated to ensuring that this project meets Mr Warden's wishes, whilst also meeting the needs of our students.

The Frends are very keen to involve new members to help with fundraising, and are always looking for new ideas to raise money for our school.  If you would like to join us or be involved, please contact us at friends@smcc.devon.sch.uk 

Over the school year the Friends/PTA runs different events and activities such as

• Raising funds for the school minibus
• Summer Fayre
• Christmas Fayre
• Provided refreshments at several functions including: Music and Drama Productions, and Parent evenings.
