Positive Feedback
We are proud to share some of the positive feedback about our College, staff and students we have received.
Member of the community: I just wanted send an email to say I met some lovely, polite boys at the Sheep fayre Field today . They were extremely lovely to my puppy ( Sienna the German Shepherd) The boys;3 of them but can only remember 2 names ( Harvey & Walker) . I can honestly say I think they were the loveliest. Polite boys I have met in a long time! Well done Lads!
School Bus driver: SMCC pupils that use the bus are polite and well-behaved. I often tell people what a wonderful school this is.
The nurses who gave the HPV vaccinations :Everything went very smoothly today, with much appreciated help from teachers and students. The students were all polite, quiet and all the students were that had the vacciantions, they were really impressed.
Equestrian Team Manager and parent: Thank you again for all you are doing for our girls, the opportunities they are being offered at SMCC are unrivalled locally. It was interesting speaking to some of the other team managers at the weekend, our team size, the way you embrace and support the children taking part in these activities are on a par with some of the best private schools in the South of England. It is definitely a selling point to anyone who rides as we have a very competitive team of riders now!
Parent: I just wanted to pass on my thanks to all the staff and pupils that organised and ran the open evening tonight. We thought it was a very informative evening and it answered all our questions. Everyone put my son's nerves and fears at ease, he came away feeling very positive and exited for the future. Many thanks again
Parent: Fantastic event. My daughter loved all the activities. The students were helpful and polite.
Exhibitor @ Petroc College: I wanted to feedback to you as I was exhibiting at the Petroc event yesterday and had the pleasure of talking to quite a few of your students. They were all engaging and absolutely lovely. I do appreciate that I do know quite a few of the children as they are in Molly’s year but there were quite a few that I didn’t know and they all behaved beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them and wished we had more time together.
Thank you to them all for making my job very easy and so enjoyable.
I will also be feeding back to Petroc about all the children who attended the event yesterday – they all were a credit to their schools.
School Governor: I’ve been into school more this term, I think, than for a long time and each time it's good moving around the corridors, seeing, hearing our students. It feels warm, friendly and welcoming. It was a delight to be there with your group of senior students yesterday, meeting such a large group of focussed, articulate members of Y11, seeing how they have developed through the challenges they’ve been offered. It’s alarming to realise that they will be gone in a matter of months, but the process that has delivered them is very encouraging. We must hope that it sows the seed in Y10 and Y9.
Ski Trip 2023:I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff involved with the ski trip. 'C' had a fantastic time. Not only has she got the ski bug but also has made some fab memories.
DCC keyworker and parents: were both extremely grateful and positive about all of the work and contact that you have been having with a student. Helping her to keep up to date with work that she is currently missing. Her keyworker said that this was some of the best practice that she had seen over the last few years that she has been doing roles like the one that she currently does, thank you.
Tarka BIKEtrail Activities Week 2023: We hope everyone has enjoyed their cycle over the past two days.
From us at the shop, we all agreed that it was the easiest school group to fit with bikes as everyone was so cooperative and easy to work with.
So we wanted to say thank you to everyone, both students and teachers, for making it an efficient process and getting everyone out cycling without having to wait a long time.
