- Geography
The study of Geography enables students to enjoy learning about people and their societies, economies, cultures and the environment.
As a subject that incorporates as much from the natural sciences as the social sciences, the structure of the geography curriculum is complex. The four main components are:
•
locational knowledge
•
place knowledge and understanding
•
knowledge of environmental, physical and human geography processes
•
geographical skills
At SMCC this is known as Mission Geography:
➢
Pupils know about places and use examples of places and events in their work.
➢
Pupils increase their knowledge of physical and human processes.
➢
Pupils gather, present and analyse geographical information.
